English Cottage Chic Gardening Services is an established gardening service based in the South of Hampshire. I look after properties on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly or one‑off basis, providing reliable, traditional garden care throughout the year.

🌱 Gardening Work Undertaken

I carry out a wide range of general gardening tasks, including lawn mowing and lawn care, weeding, hedge cutting, bush trimming, clearance of overgrown areas and routine garden maintenance.

I also provide garden care for the grounds of commercial properties, residential homes and blocks of residential flats.

I do not undertake work on trees, as my insurance does not permit this.

There is a minimum charge of one hour per visit per property.

♻️ Green Waste

Due to restrictions imposed by local authorities, I am no longer able to remove and dispose of green waste. Local councils strongly encourage householders to subscribe to their own green‑waste collection services.

English Cottage Chic Gardening is registered with the Environment Agency as a low‑tier waste carrier, broker and dealer, authorised under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011to collect and transport garden waste. Registration number: CBDL281710

💷 Payment

Payment can be made by cash, cheque or by electronic transfer directly to my bank account.

For customers receiving weekly or fortnightly services, an invoice payable at the end of the month can be provided.

Cheques should be made payable to Roger Leppard.

🛡️ Insurance

English Cottage Chic Gardening Services holds Public Liability Insurance to the value of £2,000,000. A copy of the insurance document is available upon request.

1. Definitions
“The Company” / “We” means Roger Leppard, trading as English Cottage Chic Gardening Services, and its appointed agents. “The Customer” / “You” means the person or organisation who books a job. “The Operative” means the representative appointed to undertake the work.
2. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed. Monthly invoices for regular maintenance. Payment within 7 days.
3. Electronic Payments & Cheques
Electronic payments must include your name and invoice number. Cheques must include your address and invoice number.
4. Late Payment
Overdue accounts may incur late payment charges.
5. Quotations
Fixed price quotations are provided in writing only.
6. Minimum Visit Charge
A minimum visit charge applies per property.
7. Day Rate
Day rate covers 6 hours unless otherwise agreed. Hourly rate plus materials applies where no fixed price is agreed.
8. Waste Carrier Registration
Environment Agency registration: CBDL281710.
9. Travel Time
Travel time and fuel costs for collecting materials are chargeable.
10. Access to Property
If access is not possible, a £30 charge applies.
11. Attendance
Best endeavours to attend as agreed; no liability for delays or non attendance.
12. Estimated Dates
Dates in quotations are approximate.
13. Inspection
You may inspect work upon completion.
14. Liability
No liability for unavoidable damage or unforeseeable loss.
15. Scope of Work
Work includes only what is agreed. Tree surgery, construction and hazardous waste are excluded.
16. Variations
Extra work or changes may affect cost.
17. Weather & Site Conditions
Work may be delayed due to weather or unsafe conditions.
18. Materials & Substitutions
Substitutions may occur if suppliers are out of stock.
19. Customer Responsibilities
Hazards must be disclosed. Clear access and utilities must be provided.
20. Cancellation
Short notice cancellations may incur a fee.
21. Statutory Rights
Your statutory rights are unaffected.
22. Governing Law
English law applies.
